St Johns Antigua
from the Disney Wonder
The Disney Cruise Line Southern Caribbean Cruise aboard the Disney Wonder makes a stop in St. Johns Antigua in the West Indies. This was our favorite stop. We were able to explore St. Johns, snorkel above coral reefs, and enjoy time at a secluded beach. Antigua had everything that we had imagined a Caribbean island would offer.
Duty Free Mall
The duty free mall in St. Johns was our favorite. There were plenty of interesting shops and friendly people directly off of the Nevis Street Pier.
St. Johns Town
Outside of mall at the docks and into the town, it was not quite as polished or touristy, as you would expect. The scene was colorful and alive with people walking the sidewalks and cars zipping along narrow streets. In the photo above you will notice tourists dining and having a drink.
View from the Ship
St. Johns is built around Green Bay. The views from the cruise ship were stunning: beaches, mountains, cliffs, and beautiful Caribbean waters. We were particularly taken by the array of blues and greens intermingled in the Caribbean waters.
We definitely want to travel to Antigua again!
