Placa de Catalunya Barcelona, Spain
Photos at Night
Before our recent Disney Mediterranean Cruise, we had a brief opportunity to tour Barcelona. Our hotel was a block from the Plaza of Catalonia.
Place de Catalunya is the great central location for the traveller. Three of Barcelona’s major attractions are within easy walking distance. La Rambla, a lively, pedestrian only zone, opens into the plaza. The architecture of Antoni Gaudi can be found only four blocks away. The Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter) is just a few blocks away.
At night, Placa de Catalunya is alive with activities. Children play in fountains. Young lovers walk through the park. Tourist admire the numerous statues. The scent of Catalan cuisine drifts through the air. Trees, flowers, and wonderful, old buildings add depth and color to the plaza.
I hope that have enjoyed our photos of the Plaza of Catalonia at night. Check back for more from the amazing city of Barcelona, Spain.
