Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Black Loop. Today we are sharing our holiday gift guides.
Here is a holiday gift guide for the Disney fan. There are so many ideas that I will just give you a few; one of which is the Winnie the Pooh painting above.
1)Luggage, totes, backpacks, etc.-
There is a huge price range for luggage and a great variety of sizes. Totes and backpacks can be used at Disney parks and other traveling destinations. There is a large variety of types and prices of these as well. For luggage I think you will find the hard-cased bags to be better for protecting your contents be easier to clean.
If you are visiting Disney World or Disneyland, there are several tempting options. The Disney parks and disneystore.com offer luggage in two sizes: large (26-28”) for checked bags and the smaller (20”) carry-on size. There are several designs and bags for adults and children.
For backpacks and totes there are usually several choices of designs and sizes at the Disney parks. Some options are available online, but the Disney parks seem to have a better selection.
2)Disney Christmas ornaments-
Last year I ordered several ornaments from disneystore.com. They started with reduced prices that kept decreasing the closer you got to Christmas. There are pages of the ornaments online and even more ornaments at Disney World. There is a gift shop with nothing but Christmas decorations in the Magic Kingdom (Ye Old Christmas Shoppe by Liberty Square). There are also ornaments at the gift shops in both the parks and the resorts. They range from classic Disney characters to modern renditions.
I ordered a Disney Mickey-head-shaped ornament tree to put my Disney ornaments on from Amazon last year. The Disney store and the gift shops at Disney World sell a lot of Christmas decorations such as stockings, table runners, tree skirts, etc.
These can be ordered from the disneystore.com or bought at Disney World. I have found some decent deals on Amazon.com for prints as well. Some are prints that need to be framed and some are called stretched canvas that doesn’t need framing. If you are visiting the Disney parks, The Art of Disney in Epcot has a great variety of paintings/prints and tempting items such as figurines.
There is a wide variety of clothing available for any Disney fan. Many retail outlets have Disney merchandise, including apparel. I am partial to the Disney parks merchandise. For Christmas gifts, a good Disney t-shirt or sweatshirt, pajamas, jackets or hat is almost always a safe choice. You can usually find most Disney characters either in stores or online.
There is a seemingly endless choice of mugs. Each time we visit the parks there are new choices to tempt us.
A new option is the Starbuck’s mugs available at each Disney park; each with a unique design for that park.
7)Disney plush characters-
Sometimes the Disney retail stores and disneystore.com have the Disney plush available for the great deal of buy one/get the second for $1. There are many sizes and characters to choose from. Adults and children alike can enjoy these.
There is so much that fits in this category with a large variety of types and prices; especially at the Disney parks. Crystal Arts is on Main Street U.S.A. and has crystal figurines, and also ceramic, and glass items. They have a good collection of Disney mugs and glasses that can be personalized at reasonable prices. Every Disney gift shop in the parks has some collectibles as well. The Art of Disney has a great selection of collectibles. (Two categories are very unique: small replicas of buildings on Main Street U.S.A. and light-up shadow boxes with Disney scenes inside.) These are both more expensive choices. They also have Christmas-themed village items, figurines, statues, prints, etc.
I hope these ideas will help make your holiday shopping a little easier for any Disney fans in your family. You can always take these ideas and give hints of what you would like for Christmas too!
