A view over Florence, Italy
Florence Italy at Night Tour
Florence, Italy (Firenze) is a very walkable city. Most of the historic sites lie in or close to the 1 kilometer pedestrian only streets that lead from the Medici Palace to the Ponte Vecchia.

The Ponte Vecchia crossing the Arno River
At night time the museums close. Life moves to the busy piazzas with restaurants and bars.
We love exploring at night. Daytime and night time attractions are not always the same. Light and shadow, moon and stars provide a different perspective and essence.
MyTours

Statue of Dante in Florence
We walked into the MyTours office that was within a block of our hotel, Hotel Spadai. There were excellent group options available, but we chose a private tour.
Our Tour Guide

Our tour guide, Cristiano, was one of the best that we have had. As a native of Florence, he knew the city well and was obviously quite proud of it. He was very pleasant and his English was perfect. He provided a wonderfully entertaining Florence history lesson.
Florence Italy at Night
Our Florence Italy at Night Tour took us to places that we did not expect. With many of the well known historic sites lying within the pedestrian only zone, we were taken to spots that we otherwise might not have seen.

The home of Dante.
The views from the Piazzale Michelangelo, on a hill across the Arno, overlooking the city were amazing.

Overview

Piazza Vecchia
As can be seen from our photos, Florence Italy at night offers brilliant sites and views. There is so much history here.

MyTours was easy to work with and provided a wonderful service. Our tour guide, Cristiano, was excellent.

The Great Synagogue of Florence Italy
As I have said before, private tours can be expensive. My expectations from a tour are in direct proportion to the cost. Our Florence Italy at Night tour was worth the expense.

When you visit Florence, Italy, I recommend that you stop in MyTours near the Duomo. Ask for Cristiano.
