Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Blue Loop. Today we are sharing some tips to help you plan your Disney vacation.
There are many benefits of staying on property at Disney World. I am going to list what I believe are the 4 main benefits.
There is no substitute for being totally immersed in the “Disney” experience. Until I had stayed on site in 2010 I didn’t really understand the difference it made to the quality of the vacation. Even if you are driving and staying on property at Disney World you can experience this; but if you are flying in, you can board the Magic Express Bus (described below) and the immersion experience is even greater. You can actually feel that you are entering an “alternate reality” of sorts and leaving the “real world” behind. Everything is happy and Disney; which means fantasy and all that entails. The Disney attention to detail and hospitality follows you from the parks, onto the transportation (monorail, friendship, bus), and into your resort. The music, the smiles, the greeting (Welcome Home!), the hidden Mickeys, the towel animals on the bed, the Mickey shaped waffles and more fill all of your waking hours with Disney magic.
2)Extra Magic Hours-
This benefit is only for guests staying on property and allows you to have extra time in the morning and in the evening to be at one of the parks. The hours vary and rotate between the 4 parks. Some days there are both extra morning and evening magic hours at different parks; the extra hours can be just one hour or up to three. The main benefit is that the crowds do thin out with the winnowing process of only allowing those staying on site to enter in the morning or remain at night.
3)Use of Disney Transportation During Visit-
This transportation can be the monorail, the Friendship boats, the buses, or walking. This saves time during your vacation and can be a relaxing way to get from hotel to park and back. The benefit is amplified if you are within walking distance of one of the parks. (Examples would be guests at The Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk Hotels can walk to Epcot or Hollywood Studios and The Contemporary Resort or Bay Lake Tower can walk to Magic Kingdom).
4)Magic Express Bus Service-
This bus service is very handy and leaves approximately every 15 minutes from the Orlando International Airport. The buses are clean and comfortable and play old Disney animated shorts and a short video about some of the places awaiting you at the parks. The buses also take you back to the airport after your visit and there is a video telling you to plan your next visit, which works for us every time!
To reiterate, I have given you what I believe are the 4 main benefits of staying on the Disney property during a visit to Disney World. There are others, but I think these have the greatest impact which will enhance your visit.
